With every new hairstyle comes a new sense of excitement, confidence, and perspective. Thus, on November 30th 2018, Sunday School presents to you “The Hair Appointment”; a live gallery exhibition in Brooklyn, New York to celebrate the moments lived in the black community.
This visual series is curated to demonstrate the beauty of hairstyling as a process, a lifestyle, and an overall experience. Everyone loves the idea of feeling brand new with a hairstyle that expresses themselves in true fashion, and we aim to present this story emphasizing this triumphant moment in black culture.
The project is extremely relatable to many, as it triggers a feeling of nostalgia within the minds of viewers.
